Before the Rebellion

Valara Vox is the only daughter of Senator Rufo Vox from Herdessa. She attended secondary school on Coruscant after her father became senator. Her mother stayed on Herdessa for "family reasons," and Valara often traveled between the two planets, almost being ping-ponged between her parents.

While attending school, she met Devlin Cinn — a lower-class Coruscanti who was striving fast and hard to rise up from his social rank and find his place in the galaxy. The two became quite a power couple, until Valara's graduation as valedictorian and her acceptance into a prestigious university.

It was there that Valara became radicalized against the Empire as she attended classes from older professors who had much longer memories and spoke often about the time before the Empire. She attended a rally with her professor at the end of her freshman year, and ended up arrested for sedition. Her father pulled strings to get her out of jail with no charges, but her professor ended up being convicted and sent to a labor camp somewhere in the outer rim.

Valara left Coruscant soon after, disappearing into the Outer Rim, emboldened to defy the Empire.
