The route from Korphir to Feena, the primary route for supplies heading toward Arda-2, is aptly named the 'Feena Run' by spacers and official astrogators. While Feena is heavily trafficked nearer to its pale star, on the outer reaches of its solar system ships are rare and real estate is cheap. And so it is that a military contractor convoy carrying precious healing bacta has passed via sublight away from Feena Prime, heading through the kuiper belt of the Feena System toward a remote base on an outer dwarf planet which doesn't even possess a name. The route is so droll that the freighter carrying the bacta is piloted by an automated droid system.

The briefing was simple: rebel forces will jump in and deal with the civilian fighter escort, then blow open or disable the freighter so that it drops its bacta. Then Galak in a YT-2000 will pick up the cargo, and they will flee and hyperspace out.

Sindri was the one who had set this up; it helped he spent most of his Imperial career..watching things like this. He knew all of the cost saving efforts used out of the core, they stuck him in such places. He was going to enjoy finally making him self potentionally better off from this. "All crews, hit the fighter escort hard and fast, we'll pop a few ion blasts into the freighter after and take it under tow. We don't need to shut it down, just force the droid to go off line." He says over comms, static wash helping to hide his true voice. <Also his annoying Ewok modulated voice helps>. Then he nurses the engines up to full power, and makes sure the shields are registering at optimal.

Ruggles is sitting in the laser turret of the Citadel-class armed freighter that Sindri commands. "Roger roger, skipper!" the Chadra-Fan squeaks. It's only his second mission as a gunner, and he still hasn't been promoted to a proper crew chief, but what can you do.

DAAR-4's V-19 Torrent drops out of the blue tunnel of hyperspace, through a streak of stars, until he re-enters realspace. He checks his scanners, and spots the enemy convoy. "Dare reporting in. Roger that. I'm looking forward towards increasing my kill count."

Galak sits alertly in the cockpit of a loaner YT-2000. His headset slightly canted over one ear. Galak has been running several missions for the Rebels and has gotten in a cadence of jobs. While these hit and run attacks are vastly different than his time in the Corellian Navy, Galak is enjoying seeing action in space again. "Understood." Galak curtly replies. He locks in the laser cannons to fire forward and hangs back behind the squadron for a moment.

Kydo finds the cockpit of his 'loaner' Z-95 to be uncomfortable, the bright red jumpsuit he is barrowing, even worse. The suit is not made for a shistavanen, especially so /much/ shistavanen. The moment the Citidel comes out of hyperspace his ship decouples and launches. "Big Bad signing in. Hostiles marked. Let the fun begins." Kydo cracks his neck inside his flight suit before settling into his chair. "Show time…"

Five fighters are escorting the big fat round droid-controlled freighter, which is just emerging from a limnal edge of rocky asteroids and frozen comets. A Clone Wars-era ARC-170 leads four ungainly-looking Morningstar fighters. They power up shields when the rebels drop out of hyperspace. "Identify yourselves, fighters," the leader says over the general comm.

DAAR-4 diverts extra power to the engines for a moment as he closes then, and fires his lasers at the nearest fighter before banking for another pass. He restores his systems in the moment he's pulling away.

The Corellian adjusts the throttle slightly, keeping the YT-2000 on a forward course. He checks over the systems of the rustbucket while he closes in on the nearby fighters. A panel flickers and grabs his attention for the moment. "Closing in." Galak barks over the comlink.

"Alright, everyone steady and easy. We hit them together and break appart their forma-" Kydo begins, watching Daar shoot ahead to engage the enemy. "Or that. That works." A decade ago he would be the one shooting off into the abyss to fight the enemy tooth and nail. These days, Kydo hangs back, firing on the ship Daar is targeting to focus their attack.

Sindri burns forward in the Citadel, already angling towards the Arc-170 with his cannons. "Engage that heavy fighter Ruggles." He says before switching to a common comm channel and the staticy wash of Ewok begins. "This is Captain Yub Yub of the Pink Bantha Raiders. If you power down, you will not be harmed. Failure to comply means we will terminate you with utmost hostility, and still secure the transport." He begins. Apparently, they are now Pink Bantha Raiders.

DAAR-4 might have gotten a little too cocky. Or perhaps the Force is just with his adversary. But whatever the case, the Morningstar's lasers rip into Dare's V-19 Torrent and strike something sensitive. His ship blows up in a sudden explosion.

The enemy fighters break! Some of them have had military training it seems. The damaged Morningstar-A opens up with cannons on the nimble V-19 torrent, blowing it to smithereens and rolling through the explosion. Then, realizing how much damage he has taken, he turns tail to run. The ARC-170 fires a proton torpedo at Sin's ship but it is barely dodged with a lucky roll. The other fighters fire wildly and miss; one series of cannon blasts hits the Citadel but the shields hold.

Galak Klighter pulls the YT-2000 close to one of the Morningstar starfighters and prepares to fire the forward locked blaster from the belly turret. A nearby explosion draws Galak's eyes right the Torrent as the ship is vaporized. Galak's shots go as wide as his eyes as he watches one of the squadron ships go down.

Sindri is watching the displays as hits are registered and he swings the Citadel into a lateral drift to match the ARC-170, letting swathes of laser fire begin to snap out, hissing into space. "Feth!" he shouts when DAAR goes up.

Kydo catches a brief explosion off the side of his cockpit view and his contact with Daar simply…vanishes. "Daar? Daar? DAAR!" He growls. His anger is more in self preservation than loss at the droid. They were out gunned even before, now, even more so. Still, he was a fellow comrad in arms, however brief. "Keep together, focus fire!" Kydo shouts across the air waves. "And know that our comrads will be AVENGED! HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" And he fires upon the lead ship, blasters bouncing off it's shields.

Ruggles squeals into the comm frequency as D4's ship is blown up. "They got D4!" he wails, then fires in his mourning. He misses the ARC-170 with the underside turret. "Damn!"

The ARC-170 shakes off Kydo's Z-95's shots, its powerful shields holding, and it moves forward in an attack run on the slow-moving Citadel. A proton torpedo (the second) launches from its launch tube and impacts heavily on the armed freighter's shields with a resounding BOOM. Another Morningstar rakes fire across it as well, doing minor damage.

The YT-2000 starts banking before it even gets off its second shot. Galak calls out over the inter-squad comms, "I think we're in over our heads. These things are biting hard as a group. Getting some range to string them out." Galak squeezes off a shot and moves out of the cluster of fighters.

Sindri is some what alarmed the Citadel's shields -aren't- holding up, and he suddenly banks away as he streams energy blasts into space and switches to friendly Comms. "Disengage! The ARC-170 has twin cannon positions. We already lost one fighter. We need to bring a proper squadron in for this work!" He snaps out and begins to drift after Galak…hopefully Kydo remembers he needs to go -with- the Citadel to get out of system.

As the battle continues Kydo's sense of loss at a comrad turns to anger. "Blasted droid! Why couldn't you take some with you before you DIED!" He banks hard firing upon a fighter next to him as it takes damage from his allies. The pilot manages to survive, only to see Kydo's fire lance through the cockpit and his own chest before his ship explodes. "Focus fire on the /flies/. I'll draw them away from you…" He doesn't say exactly HOW he plans to do this, but the tone of his voice is harsh.

One Morningstar fighter explodes under sustained assault. The remaining fighters press their attack. The ARC-170 appears undermanned, but there is at least one gunner present, and he fires the laser cannons at the Citadel.

As the YT-2000 screams out of the engaged group of fighters, Galak scores a solid hit on one of the distracted Morningstar fighters. "We're turning the tide. Keep at it." Galak punches the throttle, opening up some space for the Citadel to start making quick work of the remaining mercenaries.

We. /WILL/ turn this defeat into a victory. We /WILL/ prevail!" The wolfman's com's pause for a moment before he adds, "If you could start by swatting the ship that is trying to kill me I would most gratefull…"

Sindri is still seeking to break out; but the ships are staying in close and it isn't looking favourable. "We need to burn down that ARC-170 and fast. The Morningstars can barely fething dent us. Unless they got those triple heavies." Which would be bad.

- Ruggles rolls ( 5d10 (3 3 5 6 9) ) * 2 for a total of 52

Ruggles continues to fire the underside laser turret at the ARC-170, cheering into the comms as he scores a direct hit. "I got him! R2, keep working on our shields!"

Both Morningstars have split and are firing at the YT-2000 and the Z-95, though neither score hits. A hit is scored against the Citadel's shields but there is only minor hull damage as the ARC-170 doggedly pursues the armed freighter. However, it seems to be out of proton torpedoes.

The YT-2000 feints a retreat but spins on its axis and rakes the Morningstar. He catches the pilot unaware and scores several hits on the fins. The ship rotates and quickly explodes. Galak continues on his course. Sweat beads on the Corellian's brow and he lines up a shot on the ARC-170. "Stay on target…" Galak droningly communicates over the squadron comms.

Sindri is aware of damage reports flooding in, and he's flicking them away from the screens to focus on the current situation; he can't do much about them. "Hurry up Ruggles before we get unpleasent visitors." He says, a very serious concern given they've begun to take some nasty hits. "Once the fighters are down, switch to Ions and send a few salvos into the bridge of that freighter so we can take it in tow." If they survive that long.

- Ruggles labels 'P1' as ARC-170 (DESTROYED).

The wolfman glances at the frieghtor. His first instinct is to break off and attack it, pull the enemy off his allies. But…that would likely be suicide. Thankfully, the tides have turned enough that he can avoid any such thoughts. "Alright, let's play it your way." The headhunter does what it is made for, pulling away from the enemy and going headhunting, his target? The deadly Arc. He dives before pulling up, launching a volly at the the enemy that…does nothing…but could serve as a distraction. "Now's your chance! Take him DOWN!" Yes, Kydo totally ment to miss like that…totally.

Ruggles squeals over the comm as the skipper hits the ARC-170 in pursuit. "Almost got hiiim…." He lines up the turret and fires a salvo, blowing up the ARC-170 and its crew in a vicious one-two punch. "YEAH. I got him!!!"

The Morningstar P4 is ripped apart by Galak's armed YT-2000 freighter. The ARC-170 is destroyed by the combined fire from the Citadel-Class freighter and Kydo's Z-95. The final Morningstar fires a baleful laser blast at the Citadel, hitting a vital system, and turns to run, not wanting to die outnumbered for some droid-controlled freighter and a few tons of bacta. Off it zooms! The droid-controlled freighter continues to pilot forward as its droid pilot remains unsure of a course of action.

Galak slows the YT-2000 and takes the nose of the freighter right up to the bridge of the Maka-Eekai. He can almost see the droid crew throught the window. At this range, Galak quickly gets into the other freighter's computer systems and finds his way to the cargo clamp routines. Galak deftly executes the clamp release and the cargo floats free. Galak grins and exclaims over his headset, "It's all ours! Tractor in what you can." Galak moves his hands to his own ship's cargo controls and thinks on how they're going to haul all this back to Arda.

- Sindri moves 1 'Ci' token 4 spaces from (12, 13) to (10, 11).

With the others taking care of the cargo Kydo kicks in the thrusters. Opening a com to the fleeing enemy he says in a calm and pleasent tone, "You fought bravely. For that, I will be mercifull and grant you an honorable death." And he begins firing upon the enemy…annnnnnnnnnd nothing happens. Error messages pop up across his visor as the guns fail to fire. "Uh…another day. Yes, you get to live to die some other day…honorably. Yes."

Sindri has no interest in chasing fighters, he'll begin drifting into position to begin securing cargo. "Ruggles? See if you can't find the droid in the debris field.." he says and begins to monitor damage. "And hope our fuel system didn't get a hole punched in it."

The Maka-Eekai freighter is piloted by an especially stupid droid. Anti-battledroid legislation in the post-Clone Wars era has produced some incredibly inept pilot droids and this is one of them. With its commanding escorts dead and gone, the drone pilot accepts a viral command from Galak's ship's computer and dumps her cargo. Maybe the droid is dumb. Maybe he just doesn't want to die. Perhaps we'll never know. Cargo boxes tumble ou tof the massive round freighter's open cargo bay.

The last Morningstar dodges Kydo's blaster cannons and continues to flee toward the Kuiper belt's asteroid ring.

Galak grips the grapple controls and targets the nearby large crates. Galak fires and the grippers begin reeling in the precious supplies. Galak grins as YT's cargo hold begins to fill up. While he waits on the cargo to reel in, Galak begins to calculate the jump out of the system.

The wolfman chuffs, letting the pilot flee. How shamefull, he thinks. Yes, that fighter isn't good enough for him to go chasing down and destroying him. "Big Bad returning to Citedel. I just hope your hanger is still working…" Kydo glances out to his left as he flies back. The bacta means little to the mercenary except that he will get paid for getting it.

There is some sense of loss at the destruction of Daar. He only flew with him once he believe, but he seemed like an honorable fighter. He deserved better than to die in such a…random fashion. A lucky shot from an unamed mercenary. Shaking his head Kydo adds, "When we put in the report, tell them Daar died honorably…taking on 5 ships by himself." That technically isn't a lie. It was brave, but there is a fine line between brave and reckless and today Daar learned the lesson in a hard way.

The rebellion learned the lesson the hard way. "Let's pack it in and go home."

The pair of freighters manage to tractor and grapple most of the cargo into their bays. The round Maka-Eekai offers no resistance. Pieces of flotsam and debris tumble aimlessly around the battlefield, a testament to the starfighters destroyed during the battle.

Ruggles keeps his guns trained on the fleeing Morningstar but allows it to go. Without any enemies on the screen, the Chadra-Fan climbs out of his turret and scampers to the bridge. "Skipper! We had a hull breech! R2 patched it up. It's going to take FOREVER to repair these bulkheads."
